no, first off put aside the grim factor for a minute. and yes I know it would be optional but have you ever tried to read a website that has white text on black background. after few minutes your fucking eyes turn to shit. I really doubt nomad has the time do impliment this and even if he did it would be blasphemy againts our green emerald

Turn down the brightness of your monitor until the green turns to black, you should still be able to read all the text

Personally its easier to read. But I'd keep it this way. Good to play guitar to in this room when the fish tank light goes out; green ambient to the room.

Well there is the option for a white color scheme, so i don't see why black would be out of the question

its all about the green screen, there is something in the green that is addictive, maybe subliminal messages, but whatever it is, once you're here, you never really leave, unless you get flamed out as a newb

But in that situation, you leave before you are truely adicted.
If the selector works by just changing the refrenced stylesheet, then it probably wouldn't be too hard to do, but generally, black webpages are ugly and numerous. The green is good because it is unique and it looks good.

Tell that to maddox.  It is easier to read to me than black on white for the reasons he says, but I've used the green and the white backgrounds here and I like the green the best. Depending on the house lighting sometimes, like right now, I do have a little desk lamp to make it easier to see everything. I've been to other websites that have different combinations and it's so hard to see I don't even bother with them. I'm not straining my peepers.
