I pretty much just like Emperor, especially their last three. I like Dragonlord, but I'm not sure that qualifies, since anything Eric Peterson writes comes out thrashy. Since Dissection's apparently black metal, I'll say Storm of the Light's Bane. From what I hear about them I might like Immortal but I haven't gotten around to listening to them. That about covers it.

Fine, my answer is because it was more harsh and dark. I liked Anthems and In the Nightside too, but Wrath of the Tyrant is still my favourite. I didn't like their last 2. Except for the beginning of "The Eruption" and "An Elegy of Icaros"
