I think the Alembic basses with the LEDs on them are a badass idea. I like no inlays or sharkfins, or just 1 custom one at the 12th fret. I like a lot more that that, but if i got another custom i would choose those.

I think Skull & Crossbones look pretty neat on a black Jackson or Ibanez, but only at the 5th and 12th position

if you guys have seen em, on some of the custom bc rich's, they have enlarged diamond inlays (as opposed to the smaller ones they put on the nj's) i would venture to say that the large diamond inlays are my favorite.

i loved steve vai's glowing\lit up inlays.. if you look on media guide and search steve vai (i think still) you can find a video of him playing bad horsie with the lit up inlays, and lazers on his figners and head, fucking sweet performance too

The only problem with some of those is that you have more electrical interference, and more noise. Although get a Rocktron Hush and problem solved. I'd love one of those in a custom Les or RG. God, I could just blow thinking about that...
