Dude, whe someone asks for 80's thrash, don't say Slayer. That is like if he is looking for a religion and you say something as popular and common as Christianity.

I'm pretty sure DEAD is finished looking for old thrash, considering this thread is a year and a half old. I'm leaving it open not so people can hit and run with their favorite thrash bands, but for the benefit of new people who might want to ask the same question.

Mandator is a pretty decent band that hasnt so far been mentioned. You should check their album Perfect Progeny out, very Metallica influenced if i remember correctly.
