Its only been about 2 months since ive really started learning properly and pracing. I just nailed Metallicas - Seek and Destroy. I know it seems like nothing much to you guys. I got everything but the solo down in just 1 night. Last night. My fingers are sore as fuck. I wanna start learning the basics of alot of songs so i can practice alot more things when i sit down to play. and not just the 5 or 6 riffs of songs i know.

If you've nailed that and only been playing for 2 months, then I'm impressed. Next time make sure that your fingers bleed...

play the blues scale over and over just move the root note around too. play it in the dark, same with trills and other stuff, to get ur ears warmed up, for later and ur fingers wont kill so much. when i first started out i played till my fingers bleed. kids at school laughed at me but i told them to fuck off.now im one of the most popular kids in school,and if ur a dude then the ladies like fast fingers(lol). keep playing old metallica(when cliff was still there and, and justice for all), cuz thats when they were good.dont play any black album stuff cuz its too weak. after going on with metallica for a lil. buy a Cd called G3 or some joe satriani/steve vai/dream theater/malmsteen(to be amazed,how much he rapes harmonic minor, but i respect him cuz im not that good yet)/jason becker/vinnie moore and thats about it.
so keep on going. make ur self a gole then set it higher. just keep practicing

I TELL U IF U EVER PLAY ANY MUSIC THATS POP/NU METAL. I WILL SLAP U SILLY. because they dont know how to play music.they just have no real feeling in their playing. im just telling u now. u have alot of talent so far.dont screw it up!

Plus i will play whatever music i want. U cant tell me what not to play. If we could tell each other what to do all i time i would tell you to go kill yourself.

but would i listen?NO lol. i dont know why i quote myself i guess habbit. at least im not going into 3rd person. im not telling my life story just telling a summary of how guitar changed my life.

Slayer - "Disciple". Complete with the maniacal, haphazard, hellacious and hopelessly random guitar solo.

Now to reward myself I'm going to head to the store to get 2 litre mountain dews on sale for 89 cents ( if you play metal then this drink is seconday only to hard liquor ).


I'm going to begin deciphering Decapitated and Necrophagist. I feel that I'm ready for it.

hehe i just kinda learned the diminished to be solo by necrophagist.

i can play it nice and smooth and sumwhere around 140 / 160 bpm

Morbid Angel - Pain Divine

This song is pretty easy but the solo is a little tough..You have to use the whammy part on some parts really fast.

Well, I know a bunch of random riffs, bu those hardly require much effort or time to get down...Well, i guess Bed of Razors is really the only song that i have down. ^ superb tabbings on that song by the way, Young guitarist.

But i think i'll start Hallowed be thy name or some more COB stuff. Challenging to players like myself at a more, uh, "entry" level. (Pssst, that means i suck bad.) Still satisfying though.

Or maybe Crystal Planet, that song is catchy as hell. First i thought it might be too hard, And then i heard Air. So, i thought What the hell, Why not?
