Did I ever say I thought it was goth because of the female vocals?! No. I've listened to most of the bands listed here. Some of them I wouldn't consider "goth". But whatever, everyone has their own opinion, just mine IS that CoF are goth

I know its not goth but i have liked power metal since day 1 of discovering it. Bands like Hammerfall and Dragonforce. Its more medievil than goth but still really cool to listen to.

manson has a heavy industrial influence in his music, so yes, i would have to agree with brains, not industrial metal, but industrial rock most definitely

Damn, it's very weird to see how much people can go off-topic. Still, I realized most people did not answer what I asked: bands SIMILAR TO NIGHTWISH, AFTER FOREVER, LACUNA COIL, WITHIN TEMPTATION... I mean their general style!!
Marilyn Manson for me is not gothic anyway. I talked to some people and I realized it's not true what you say about gothic metal not existing. It'sd just proved... look on the lacuna coil website www.emptyspiral.net wehere it clearly states that it's a combination between gothic metal and a few other styles. Anyway.
CoF do have some gothic influences indeed... cool.
hope at least some of what you told me is what I reqyuested -- didn't have time to check all the bands you recommended me.
