Seemed kinda real to me. I've seen people get hurt kinda bad like that before and they didn't freak out right away either. It wasn't like it was stuck in his chest or head.

my cousin cut his finger off in an accident at his job and he only realized he had lost his finger seconds after the actual cut. |
