ive been pondering this. BTS actually doesnt have THAT bad of production. everythigns clear enough to be enjoyed. i think the problem is that its suffocation , and so anything less than perfect dissapoints us fans

i know how they can, the music just is not for them. the same problem lies with COF, the music's good but people get put off by dani filth. i for one, quite love both these bands.

"det som engang var" is one of the greatest songs of all time. not on technicality, but on atmosphere. anyway, this is a suffo thread, so i won't hijack it.

Yep. The producer had absolutely no fucking idea what he was doing. He had never produced a single metal album before, his experience was in producing jazz records. So we can thank him for the fact that the whole album is drowning in mids and it sounds like they were playing in a cardboard box. I'm sure we can also thank Roadrunner for financing this junk. I can't believe such brilliance could be so sorely neglected and overlooked.

Oh, yeah, and whoever said Pierced from Within is the perfect record, I agree with you.

Effigy was my first Suffocation album, and my favourite. It kills.
