can someone try to explain to me a little better what "pig vocals" are, and how to do them. I'm into to grindcore, and ive been wanting to learn a more "brutal" approach to singing. I have done some research on google and came up with a Disfigured Prostitute album, that litteraly used Pig Vocals... lol, but I would like to be able to add more power, and have a better understanding. Thank you.

Alot of lord gores stuff isnt just his voive, he gargles liquids while singing at times, and he also inhales when singing, instead of doing the usual and breathing out.

yeah i do those inhales often and i can acheive some Circle Of Dead Children sounds and almost perfectly do the inhales that gorerotted use(example: the first vocal part that comes in on 'fuck your ass with broken glass" but someone said in another thread that you inhale and scream. is that like what im doing? or what?

Okay im going to try to explain it as best i can.

Act as if youre gagging, and you know when your toungue goes down in your throat? Well keep that position, and open your throat. Then curl your toungue back to where it almost touches the roof of your mouth. then just i guess growl is the only way i can put it, and it comes out as a pig grunt.! Good luck!

At the moment my throat is all fucked cuz i been ill recently and cant do shit i can but it hurts and doesn't sound anywhere near as good.

So yeah.. I've been trying to learn inhales cause we'd like to start doing them. I'm the vocalist in grind band called Dallas. I can scream, I can growl.. but I can't do inhales. I'm trying to get the sound kind of like Job For a Cowboy when they do inhales, if anyone has heard them. If there's another thread on this, my bad. Just let me know.

To learn the 'pig' growl I spent about four hours just making some 'wee wee wee' sound through a growl to achieve that high treble end taper off that gives it that effect. I also smoked cigarettes which helped. But then I quit, and that was hell. But I can do Devourment style pig-growls, so I guess it was worth it.
