Yes, thats mostly true. The song Stengah on the album Nothing has a pretty strange time signiture. I can barly play it on drums becuase i get confused thinking about it.

PM me your e-mail address. This way I can send it to you on my time instead of keeping AIM open until whenever you get online. I don't use AIM anymore, anyway. I don't even think it's still installed on my computer anymore.

Ok, I gotta thank John for this...............
CARPHANAUM!!!!!
They rule! Tech as, awesome solos, fucking fast drums, the vocals are a little on the weak side, but it doesn't really bother me at all. Great stuff!
EDIT: Fuck, Rick Metal is onto something! That band is insane! Thanks man!

Man, that song is not too hard actually. I can play it, and I'm not really even a drummer. The first riff on Rational Gaze is a toughie though, with those weird splash cymbal placements. A friend of mine can play the whole Nothing album basically on drums, now I just need an 8-string guitar....................

Darko told me about them and he in turn was introduced to them by Nihilist I think.

Canada had some really good thrash, too. Other than the obvious mention of Annihilator, I'm listening to a band called Sacrifice right now. This is good shit, man.

Technical Death Metal
Some technical death metal bands I haven't seen listed here yet that I listen to: Sinners Bleed (If you don't own From Womb to Tomb, you probably perform fellatio on senior citizens (either males or females wearing strap-ons) on a regular basis, and you might as well kill yourself), Gory Blister (imagine Sound of Perseverence if Chuck wasn't born with a pink diamond in his pants), Neuraxis, Coprofago, Neglected Fields (Jesus, that's good tech death right thur), Korum, Carcariass, Oppressor, Shadows Land (sometimes it gets a little bit too showy though), Dungortheb, Pavor, Man Must Die, Lethargy, Nefas, Illogicist, Coram Lethe, Daath, Natron, Sceptic (Hiro is one of my favorite guitarists), Burning Inside (listen to the drumming on this baby, the same Death/Control Denied signature beat we grew up on from Richard Christy, turns into ostentatious orgasms of pretentious drumming insanity), and I consider Nonexist (listen to the riffing on the song Ebony Tower and chug my chode), Afterdeath, Acid Death, and Alarum (yeah that's a ridiculous stretch of the imagination) to go hand-in-hand with technical death metal. If you're not a bigot and you just like riffs in death metal, Bolt Thrower and Arghoslent (intelligent racism for the 21st century, Quelling the Simian Surge... if only stinkbags could be limited so easily..). If you just like intelligent humor, check out Scumbitch (playing cunt hockey under a bridge iced over with zebra cum), Grinded Nig, or Eradykate. Bad technical death metal: Broken Hope (if you consider it that) - horrible, horrible music. It's not catchy, it's just a bunch of 2 second ejaculatory riffs that aren't even good. Psychotogen - very bad attempt at copying Florida death metal legends. Darkness Remains - You can't try to play technical death metal and metalcore together (The End, pun and not a pun) unless of course you play the majority of your shows at males only bars. Creepmime - Ugh, bad, bad; trying to combine Opeth (a band for overweight people to listen to) and Gothenburg; sounds like Vinny Castilla's luggage going through security check before he got deported, but not as funny. Blastfame - Among the most ignominious; they are just simply a band trying to copy Cryptopsy but not being as skilled, and so failing miserably with their horrendous music. If you're like me and you like anything with a lot of riffs you can headbang to and play air guitar to (that's right, I'm not good enough for a real one because I spend all my time masturbating to spanish game shows) and you don't care about vocals (1% of a band to me), then it wouldn't hurt to check out Spastic Ink (the riffs pull down your pants and give you the sodomy of a lifetime), Behold the Arctopus (*slurp*), Andromeda (Johan owns), or Dragonforce (great solos). You're probably thinking "This guy just ruined our whole blog." You're probably also thinking "Jeez, I never realized how small my genitalia is." Combine both of those thoughts, get some enzyte, and shut your mouth. Long live tech death.

Some Guy mention Disgorge, i don't know what Disgorge is he talking about, but none of the Disgorge's are Technical, mostly Brutal Death Metal, Technical Death Metal are bands like Spawn Of Possession, Necrophagist, i don't know if Odious Mortem could be in that list but, anyway, i wouldn't also mention Chuck's Death.
Myles, Frantic is the perfect song for you to show the poofter what Death Metal really is.
I'd say Necrophagist is Progressive Death Metal!

Yeah
Quo Vadis has some unique stuff I've heard. Tech death/thrash I think of Quo Vadis, Hellwitch, Obliveon, Divine Syndrome, and, hmm that's all I've heard.
"Drowning In Chewed Up Cunt Meat
Headbutt the pregnant sluts stinky speedway
until the cunt faggot homo dyke bitch clit unborn douchekid
oozes out in a stream of intestines, cum, and rotten twat meat
Then pour 1200 gallons of lighter fluid on her tampon tunnel
and toss the cunty ass dyke into an oven
stuffed with severed zebra erections
and pictures of me jerking my engorged fleshmallet
on your grandmothers coffin" - Scumbitch classic

I was glad to see Martyr mentioned a few times here...being from Canada, we get to hear them all the time, but seems that not many other have heard of them. Kudos, folks! Also, Dan M. from Martyr is playing with Quo Vadis, and doing time with Cryptopsy as well.
I'd include Sadus in this list, but only because I'm a bassist, and DiGiorgio is absolutely amazing on the fretless.
Devolved, also, was a suprise to see, and while not brutal, they are definately technical...sort of a much heavier Meshuggah, i thought.

Classing Alarum as technical is a bit of a reach, I would put them in closer to progressive - in fact, I wouldnt really call them death metal at all.
As far as devolved go, they are more of a hardcore band, and the only thing that is technical about them is the drumming.
Not that im particuarly anul about generas.

I love strong bass presence. I've actually been considering transitioning from guitar to bass, but since I don't have a bass, I'll just stick with guitar.
