anyone so necro and grim and wear it as low as zakk or heatfield?

Or Mille Petrozza lately? Jeasus, its like he has 2 tied together.
Mine- Pickups are right in the middle of my gut, a little higher than average. Pretty close to Schuldiner's height
Schuldiner
Ya, real close to that, I usually play so that the neck is at about a 70 degree angle.

bottom pickup is just over my cock, but i have the neck on an angle so the top is about level to my shoulder
if you want to know what level to have it, it should eb where it is comfortable for you, this will depend on the length of your arms and such, i cant stand having mine at belly button height, since it makes my right arm hurt after a little while, so you should have it where its comfortable (and you can still play, while standing up, if you have it as low as it will go, and play hunchback, or bend over so its around your ankles then you deserve to be castrated, so you can never infest the world with offspring.)

I wear mine just above my belly button (PU's) - it doesn't affect my playing at all, and I think that wearing so that you can't play as well as sitting down is stupid.

A long time ago i seen a band called Agiel open for Cephalic Carnage. The guitar player had his strap so high it almost looked like his guitar was chocking him. I thought "what a loser! Can't even play with his guitar low?! He ain't cool!"
Of course i thought this BEFORE they started playing. Once i saw the guitar genius jumping around and shaking his head everywhere while doing 8 finger tapping RIFFS (not solos), i thought maybe there's something behind having your guitar a little higher than your knees. This guy turned out to be the best guitar player i had ever seen up until this past year.
I used to wear my strap as low as it could go, which would put my pickups around dick height. Then my friends and i started a band, and i became the singer, and not being able to look at my fretboard 75% of the time made things difficult with my wrist being perpendicular to my arm. So i brought the guitar up so that the pickups are probably between my belly button and my belt buckle, and since then i've been able to play faster and better. I've tried going lower and i can't even do it anymore.

i usually have the pickups around crotch area. i do find easy to play when the guitar is higher than the gut but i find my left shoulder where the strap rests aches after a while

I wear mine really high compared to most metalheads, i wear mine about the same height as a hardcore guitarist would. Its easier. I dont play hardcore though

I play it about the same as schuldner in the pick, my bassist friend likes to play bass really really low because he wants to be like funk bassists.

Listen to Memnoch. Putting the guitar that low really limits your options.

it probs depends on how your bassist friend plays if he uses finger picking it might be a bit easier even with the bass that low but if hes a pick user he will struggle

i dont. my left hand is very heavily set into the 60's style hendrix type fingering.
i can do either but prefer that way

During solo's my thumb is always in the center of the neck, gives me more reach.

I wear mine exactly like kin. It's the only way I can get quick and easy access to frets between 20-24 and have full mobility, speed and leverage up there for sweeping, bending, two-hand tech and all that when soloing. Yes, I know it looks like Tom Morello and I have actually had some people laugh at me for it. But I don't care. I'd rather look funny and have comfortable access to all frets.

i do a mix of the two, when im playing chords and some leads, but for most single note things, esp. with lots of bends, my thumb curls over the fretboard. my fretting fingers are a totally different story, they are hardley ever perpindicular to the fretboard, i find it uncomfortable, and seeing as i dont shred, it does really adversely affect my playing.
