Guitar Problems

I'm having problems lowering my bridge... Its sticking out like a mof... and I do not know how to lower it.. i've fitle farted around with springs and nothing happened... :S I'm confused with what springs are used for... I think there used to hold the bridge in place from ripping out if so I think i need an extra one.. i have a DXMG Jackson.. with a floyd rose bridge.. can you please tell me what i need to do in order to lower the bridge.. or if the doesn't make a hole lot of sense just say doesn't make sense and i'll just explain more.. lol.. thz in advance

The springs counteract the tension caused by the strings.

i just read that link...it says to keep he bridge parralel to the body...

ive always had the fine tuners tilted up for years on my setups by about 15 degrees

that website is awesome, i had the exact same problem as jimroot4 and after reading that carefully, following each step i cleared my problem up straigh away.
