from what i've been hearing, there's supposed to be a video coming out this summer (can't fuckin wait ).
And i thought i heard that they were gettin together soon to record another album (but i might of dreamt that).
From the looks of it though, if they do record another album, i'd say it's gonna be their last. They've all got alot of other shit goin on and i don't think PanterA is the same to them as it used to be.

From what i've heard on this board, of all the hardcore pantera fans, their newest album basically sucked. So, i don't think a new album is anticipated too much.

I actually liked "reinventing".
It's not as great as their other albums but it's still pretty good.
p.s. Most hardcore PanterA fans are ignorant as fuck

as soon as i get into pantera, they're gonna break up? that would fucking suck!
I hope they stay together, they fucking rock. What kind of conflicts are going on in the band to cause the tension between the members?

ANSELMO DENIES BREAK-UP RUMORS
Philip Anselmo issued an unequivocal "F*ck no" to the recent rumors that Pantera are breaking up. It seemed the rumors kicked up during a press junket for Anselmo and fellow Pantera bandmember Rex Brown's side project, the band Down. "Side projects always start rumors," stated a spokesperson for Pantera's management. "It's the nature of the beast." Add Anselmo to the mix and writers get a little itchy. "What can I say," says Anselmo. "I love Pantera. I'm excited about Down. I'm lucky to be in a place where I can make great f*cking music with both bands. We're going into the studio sometime later this year to record the new Pantera album. End of story."

We already discussed this subject in your absence Opeth......notice the date, march 25th? That's a long time ago.
Basically, even if they were breaking up, i doubt he just go right out and say it.......he wouldn't admit to band problems either. No bands really do that until the problems are resolved.

PHILIP ANSELMO: DIMEBAG Has To Root Out Some Things In His Life Before We Can Be Happy Again - May 13, 2002
In a brand new interview with PANTERA frontman Philip Anselmo, conducted last week and published today, Monday, May 13th, in the Swedish newspaper Expressen, Anselmo had the following to say about the current status of PANTERA: "In PANTERA, there are some things that are going on that I'd much rather not comment on. I think that they… mostly Dimebag, he has some things to root out in his life and make things right before me and him can get down and be happy again."
In response to a direct question as to whether or not there will be another PANTERA album, Anselmo offered: "I would think so. When, I don't know."
[taken from original English-language transcript of interview]

i know man it fucking sucks.
It's cuz i live on this shit of a fucking island. It's a massive hassle to see any band other than some folk fucking country band.
I've only been to one concert (ozzfest) too.
But i'll see em eventually. Even if they break up, i'll see em. I'll see phil singing for down, (or one of his side pro.) and whatever each one of em ends up doin'. But i'll see the fuckers
But hopefully i'll see down.

While doing the usual browsing of Blabbermouth.net, I found an excerpt of the March 2003 Guitar World interview with Dimebag in which he addresses the current Pantera situation. Here ya go:
"It's really weird, but this is the clear-headed, honest truth: [PANTERA/DOWN vocalist Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown] up and left us hangin' and won't let us know their intentions or future plans. For the last 20 years, my brother Vinnie and I have put our heart and soul into PANTERA and we never thought this situation would ever happen to us. By now I thought for sure we would've done another record, but they don't seem to care how it affects Vinnie and I, or the road crew or, most of all, all the PANTERA fans that have been so fuckin' awesomely great to us for so long. We've made several attempts to talk to those guys and they keep putting us off. This is not a situation we've created — it's a situation we've been forced into.
"Bottom line, for Vinnie and me it's all about the music, kickin' ass and havin' a good time. So we've got together with some of our close buds and formed a new band called NEW FOUND POWER. The record is almost done and will be out soon. We've put 110 percent into it, just like we always do, so I guarantee you won't be let down."
Well, there ya go. Not exactly conclusive, but still sheds a little light on the attitude surrounding Pantera's members.
