Neato(not sarcasm. . . really), You know the cool rule of 9, The Quantitative values on inversions will always add up to 9 and for complex intervals such as a M9, you subtract seven to get the simple interval. I apologize when my typing makes me sound sarcastic, I'm really not very sarcastic. . . just a geek.

Key Signatures aren't very complicated it does take small memorization though. For Example, Sharps go in order F C G D A E B, you know this revolves in the circle of fifths/ circle of fourths, depending on if you go clockwise or counterclockwise. When flatting there is only one key that doesnt carry the b and that is the key of F. When flatting you flat backwards B E A D G C F, remember that you drop the G and the F one octave on the staff when showing where to b.

A neat little trick to use when sharpening things is the last thing you sharpen on the staff, for example you sharpen the F, you would know you are in the key of G major because whatever key you are in is always going to be 1/2 step above the last thing you sharpen. My teacher taught me that and it works very well.

As for flating. Just memorize that F has a Bb, no trick there. Beyond the Key of F major though you can look back just before the last thing you flat. fe: on the staff you flat B E and A. Look back just before the last thing you flat(A) and you will find the key you are in (E) since this has a flat symbol on it you are in Eb of course. I hope I explained that well. Erm, Just the flat symbol before the last on whichever line/note you are on is the (major) key you are in. Yeah, I know this is an old post I'm replying to as well.

, typing isn't sarcastic when you're complimenting. You don't have to worry about that.

I always sound sarcastic, through typing and through verbal communication. . . it happens though, and people think I'm a prick and stuff. Eh, it happens though.

this is bullshit i hate this keyboard right now its wigging out on me. nah theres nothing wrong with being a prick in my mind anyways as long as its with reason to be and such. okay, about me caring what people think i dont really. as for being fucked up in the head the whole self esteem issues. its kind of my way of dealing with people shitting on me. like my best friends and stuff. yeah i know thats like a way weird one. but no i just deal with my own shit and if people hate me cool if not cool as well. as for my typing in this post refer to my first statement. the difference between absolute hot and absolute cold, no difference. the difference between absolute genius and absolute insanity none. great minds are seldom cherished during their lifespan. weird theory but i adhere to it and it seems to have proven itself throughout history. ive been trying to organize my ideas/theories and the ones i have compiled from books so that i can get more in depth but yeah. later

Oh, sorry john. Didn't mean to tell me life story. Anyways, I did a whole little thing on the intervals(beginners) I think it covers pretty much everything that I'm sure somebody else has covered before. Later.
