I'd say they can be in both places. The problem would be that as soon as you started to say how to play this scale posted in this forum on a guitar, a person could get flamed. So maybe we should stick this forum related only to the piano?

As you have hinted at, I don't think the theory threads in here should be instrument-specific: they should be generalized so that a person who plays any instrument can take something from them. Sounds good about shifting some of your theory threads over, I'd be very appreciative.
