graphic and parametric eq'ing are pretty different.
a parametric eq lets you pic the exact freq's your tweaking and then choose how widely it affects the freq's around it... much like and amp's eq..
i like graphic eq's alot for more "fine tuning" situations.

im telling you man, the Alesis M-EQ230 is cheap as hell, its as much as the boss, and its 2 30 band eqs in one rack space!

so this guy who i bought the head off of says itll cost HIM an extra 30 dollars
to ship it to canada, do you guys think thats valid, i think im gonna ask him to show me some proof

i only paid him last night.
he was gonna ship it this afternoon, but he was gonna ship it to nashua and my dad was gonna pick it up, but now he says it cant get there in time etc etc

I have that head and it sounds badass.
I play an ESP H-300 with an EMG 81 in the bridge and a 85 in the neck and the distortion sounds awesome, very tight and focused.
My only complaint is that I wish it had a little more volume. Even with two 4x12 cabs it does not get as loud as I would like. I can stand 2 feet in front of it with the volume dimed and not be bothered. If I tried that with my 5150 (or pretty much any of the heads I have owned in the past) my teeth would have shattered.
Maybe I'm just going deaf... 
Regarding the extra shipping cost to Canada, that sounds legit to me.
Shipping costs are ridiculous enough as it is, so I am not surprised that it would be an extra $30 to ship it out of the country. |

the 5150 isnt that loud ... it gets quieter, i don't get deafer, my ears just fatique faster now.... strange...

AHA!
So i emailed the guy saying that usually how it works is I pay the customs fees after he ships it.
He then responded saying "Oh yes! now i remember, its been ahwhile" and said hed ship first thing monday
so it looks like he could of been trying to con me out of my money.
well either way im glad that part is over
