$200 is almost too much for one imo... i've seen em' go for as low as $100... but they're pretty rare so the resale isnt very constant...
regardless i think it's a pretty good head for the money... i think it's actually got 2 65w poweramps for true stereo operation(to benifit the chorus), but i think it bridges for 130w mono too.
the distorted tone is pretty chunky, which i like for hella chuggy rythems and fat leads.

Yeah i was really hoping to get it for 80
but ill still have some left over money
itll probably cost 400 canadain after everything
and if i can ever sell my shitty peavey ill have like 300 bucks left over. which means maximizer and EQ
which one should i get first?

do you have a cab? if you dont, get that first. Other than that, id say go with a maximizer... i reccomend the 482, its discontinued so go ebay it up.

well sick then... yes, what eq are you planning to get? id reccomend a alesis M-EQ230, or an alesis D-EQ230, the D is midi, making it the ultimate eq.

i'd go for a good cab if i were you.... what kind do you have now?
how do you plan on running the bbe with it?
i think if you're using a shitty cab, then upgrading your cab will make a way bigger difference than a sonic maximizer.
but for those amps i highly reccomend some sort of external eq'ing... because on the lead channel of my old g1600xl all the controls werent very dedicated to actual "eq'ing"... it's hard to explain, i'm sure you'll understand when you get it.

that's what i ment.
so for parametric style eq'ing it's tough to find sweet spots.
