To have your hair long:

Visit a hairdresses and consult them about hair.

There is a special recipe for washing your hair with a raw egg and vinegar. It sounds gross, but it works, so look it up and it will make your hair shiney and strong.

Don't go to bed with wet hair.

Get a hair brush (not a comb, but a brush) that suits your hair density.

Find out your hair type and buy shampoo and conditioner accordingly.

If all else fails and your hair is very curly, use straightening conditioner and some sleeker serum. My hair is wavy but not curly, I wish it was straight, but it just curls at the ends.

If it gets annoying, wear it in a pony tail. You can wear it in a pony tail even if it's only down to your lips. Hair gel also helps, stuff like sports gel and spike gel.

Obtaining long hair? First step: don't cut it. It isn't very hard to accomplish.

I started growing my hair when I was around 11-12 - I can't really remember that "in between" stage. Obviously that'd be the worst part because it looks fucking ridiculous.

I'm nearly 21 now, and have hardly taken any length off it since.

Mine is pretty straight today. I deep conditioned it and put some M & T on it yesterday. My hair always looks better the next day. I don't shampoo it every day.

The lead guitarist from one of Wally's old bands dyed his red hair black and the last time Isaw him he had black dreads with red roots. It was bizarre looking but sort of fit his personality. He was different anyways. He used to set a gallon size clean gas can by him to drink from while they were performing. That flipped me out the first time I saw that.

Simply not cutting it can sometimes result in a pretty bad mullet. depending on how the lengths were before. In fact, if i hadnt been cutting the back near the bottom of my neck all along, I would have a terrible mullet.

Back when I had long hair, if I cut it off it was back within a year. It was well past my shoulders in a year too. I had to cut it many times but my hair grows very fast so I don't have to much of a transient period.

I just hope that once I get out of the Navy I can grow it back just as fast

thanks for all the tips, i bloody need to grow my hair out. it used to make 2cm spikes back in the day when i was "only into it for the music." now ive got a bit of a mop-top but im afraid it may turn into a mullet. if i look back over these posts im sure i can get some anti-mullet things.

I got the chemical "relaxer" today after all. So right now its super straight. But thats also because she used the iron afterwards. Its not suposed to stay how it is right now, but thats ok with me. I went from wavy/curly to "corpsegrinder" straight in two hours. So its kind of a shock. After i start washing it again it will be wavier than it is now, but not curly anymore.

have you done this egg/vinegar thing before and how often should you do it?
And are you basically saying that thin hair will break if you use a hair brush with thick bristles?
