Megadeth Blackmail The Universe Tour

First the Opening Acts were Earshot and 12 Stones..
Then Dave changed his mind and dropped 12 Stones, and Got Exodus for the WEST COAST ONLY

and now...

San Francisco Bay Area thrashers EXODUS have secured the opening slot on MEGADETH's "Blackmail the Universe Tour" beginning with the Oct. 25 date in Anaheim, CA. EXODUS were previously announced as the openers for the tour's six West Coast dates, but have now been added to the remainder of the trek. Also appearing on the bill will be the Los Angeles-based quintet EARSHOT.

Commented EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt, "We are getting equal billing with EARSHOT and a fair set time so it will be killer. I have no problem opening this tour. We need to get our asses out there and play for more people and this is just what the doctor ordered! So all of you who do not live on the West Coast make sure to get your asses there early so you don't miss our set. The new MEGADETH is awesome and I'm looking forward to seeing Dave and co. live as it's been a while. And a mega thanks to Dave for doing what so many bands talk about yet never follow through on, taking some old friends out on the road!"

mmm hmmm This is your LAST chanced to see Megadeth, Dave is done with Megadeth.

thats because he is an asshole, if you look at some of the interviews on the DVD, he spends a lot of time winging about former bandmaters

dont worry dave said he fully intends to do solo stuff. and besides dave was the only part of megadeth on this tour. It was Dave, the ex-iced earth bassist, glen drover (some guitar player), and a drummer who was never in megadeth (think he was brothers with other guitarist). so really this was dave performing megadeth songs with some random musicians.

oh dud!!! Maiden and Megadeth at the same time at the same place?? I would drink the blood of a virgin goat for tickets to that.

that would be amazing especially if they culd get like the ideal line up, Dave Mustaine, David Ellefson, Nick Menza, And either friedman or Poland. that would be amazing.

is king diamond any good?

I was lucky enought to catch the show in seattle on 11/27 and was pumped when they actually played The Mechanix near the end of the show! The crowd went nuts. Great song. . played blistering fast, a very nice surprise! I'd looked around online before I went to get setlist ideas and Mechanix was not on any of the lists that I saw. Did not expect it at all

The Seattle show was quite different I think from the ones posted on the net from the beginning of the tour. I think there were a couple additional songs from the new album and some omissions of older stuff. Overall though a great show, I'd go again if they came around one more time.
