This has plagued me for a while. My friend tells me that die-hard Megadeth fans hate Metallica and Metallica fans with a vengeance. Theres a rival group of metalheads at my school that are always dogging me whenever I wore my Jump in the Fire shirt or my Metal Up Your Ass shirt, and these dudes had every Megadeth shirt I have seen so far. I thought maybe because I had said something that offended them, but a firend of theres told me that they dont like me because I like Metallica a lot [yeah, if you dont like the fact i like Metallica, you can rot]. Hell, they got offended because they found out I bought the remastered Peace Sells, But Who's Buying. Is there some sort of unspoken hateful rivalry between Megadeth and Metallica fans?

As far as your original question goes, old Metallica and old Megadeth both rule. Both bands have been pretty lame since around 1990 so I don't see where these clowns get off talking shit to you for wearing old school Metallica shirts. If they are wearing post-Rust In Peace Megadeth shirts ever then you should be the only one allowed to talk shit.

As far as a Metallica reunion goes, I don't think Lars is up to the task. He seems to be incapable of playing with authority anymore (not that he ever was that great), but a Hetfield/Mustaine reunion of some type would be interesting if they had a good drummer...

I listen to both bands...I think Megadeth is way better than Metallica, but first few albums of metallica's aren't that bad...Kill'em all is the best...but whatever Mustaine in both muhahaha.
