I have that picture on my bedroom wall, too, but oddly enough, was NOT the cheesy picture I was referring to in my earlier post. That picture does not seem cheesy to me, that's just a picture of kids who have fun rocking out. The picture I was referring to was circa 83, when they were wearing makeup and doing the whole Satan thing. My wall is plastered with pictures of Slayer and Megadeth that I found on the internet when I was in high school. I have no idea where I found them all, some of them are probably rare.

This poll shouldn't matter anyway. Slayer play their own type of music - they kind of reinvented thrash with big chunky speed riffs and all out crazy solos. Pantera are influenced by Priest and Maiden and add their own bit to it (and other than Becker, in my opinion Dime is the best metal guitarist ever). It's like comparing Friedman and Becker - both played the same music but were completely different types of guitarists. Hey some1 should do Friedman v Becker poll.

I have the 1980 picture on my wall and it's higher quality than the one you linked to, it's much clearer. Again, it's not the cheesy makeup shit I was referring to. Again, it's just couple of kids havng fun. The only thing cheesy about it is the 80's clothes, you can't blame them for that. Those pictures of Jeff are exactly what I'm referring to, but I don't have that particular picture. I have a different picture of Jeff, with makeup on, playing an orange/brown flying V (looks like a Gibson, but I can't tell because it's cut off), and a cross in his hand that he's holding (of course) upside down. I also have a picture of Kerry with makeup on while playing guitar. I have another picture that's of the whole band standing around with makeup on. I don't know if you have ever seen the cheesy ass promo shots of Celtic Frost (awful band), but if you have, this picture is essentially the same exact thing only with Slayer. It's almost plagiarism if it were possible. Then there is this other picture, which is of the whole band (you can't see Dave, though) playing a gig, with makeup on. This time Jeff has a black Gibson, but it's not a flying V. I can't really tell what Kerry or Tom have.
