where the hell can you get a new 5150 for $450?????

if you want to talk used gear then yeh, the 5150 is mucho cheaper because peavey has crappy resale....
but rocksolidamps.com sells the fireball for $1,200 new... which is only a couple hundred more than a new 5150.
the screamer 50 and thunder 50 are about the same cost as the 5150, even cheaper at some places.

I'de probably prefer a Screamer head above a 5150. seriously, not volume wise, but tone wise, 50w tubes is loud enough for any medium sized gig, as long if you got good monitors and a decent pa system. You guys are getting screwed over though, everything european is way more expensive over there.

I think the 530 doesn't 'copy' the fireball/powerball or savage in its sound, it does have the typical engl high gain distortion, ofcourse it does come close to both tops, but they're not an exact match. I guess thats what that guy way trying to say?

I heard america sucks for guitar stores. but I'm a spoiled motherfucker with world's biggest guitar store just two hours away in Ibbenburen, Germany. or at least, they claim to be the biggest guitar store in the world. their drum deparment is like two floors of a relatively big building. don't even get me started about the guitar/amp deparment, the first time I walked in there I allmost fainted. I spent at least 5 hours there everytime I go and I never ever leave the place empty handed. haha
