Any Brits here can marvel at the exotic tastes of the world's finest, most obscure and best kept beer secrets at this wonderful, merriment inducing website:
www.beersofeurope.com
I'm not sure whether they deliver to the rest of Europe or the world at large as I haven't endeavoured that far into the inner sanctum of the website as of yet, but I'm sure if you read the delivery section you will find out. They have an amazing selection of beers and if you want to know anything about any one of them just ask Def to fill any necessary gaps. He may even tell you what the beer is like but that's entirely down to him.
Def: Which of the Dutch beers they stock would you recommend?
EDIT: Sorry, no delivery to anywhere outside of mainland United Kingdom.

Wow, that tripped me out...I was reading the first few posts and then I see that I already posted...then noticed this thread started in September...
Man I can't wait until I graduate high school, I'll be 19, the legal drinking age!
I turn 19 on a Tuesday though, eh, it's a good excuse to miss the rest of the week of school!
I wish I had more money sometimes, I usually drink the cheapest shit you can get, like Colt 45's..I also finally tried Golden Glow last week, a local "cider"...haha tastes like really awful homemade wine, Trendkill you can probably back this up.

Use American Thanksgiving as an excuse. A lot of my friends in high school used Canadian Thanksgiving as an excuse to take off. It worked fairly well, but then again enough people in the area were dual citizens that you really couldn't keep track of them.

Maybe, but my birthday is in March....
And I can't miss anymore classes go I'm supposed to get kicked out.
Here's a question....What was the first thing you ever drank? Besides sips of beer and wine when I was really little, grade 7, I stole some of my parents wine while they were asleep.
In grade 5 I smoked cigarettes... But didn't really start full time until grade 9.

My preference is Malibu rum...I like it a lot. Soco whiskey and Crown Royal are good too. I still can't choose between Corona or Heineken cause they're both so grim...I think I lean more towards Corona. Alazay is good when I'm feelin' gangstar.
Those are if I have some money to blow or a friend or two pitches in. Lately its only been McCormick's vodka (the $10 huge handle) and Keystone Light made here in Colorado ($20 30 packs). Tr00 drunks get drunk on cheap shit...and spend the rest on hookers.

Absolut Mandrin Orange...3/4 of the fifth. The next day I had to do a speech for a final exam and I was drunk when I was trying to study for it. The next day I was all hungover and took a math final which I didn't complete (one of my friends I was drinking with was sitting behind me and he just pocketed the test and left...then turned it in the next day) Anyways I took 4 throw-up bathroom breaks during that test and afterwards went to Speech class. I went last and the whole time I was trying to memorize a 3 minute speech. I did it and kept fucking up so the teach said I could just take the speech up to the front of the room and read it and he'd mark me down 10 points. I got a C on it and it brought my grade down to a B-
What kind of music do you drink too? I like something brutal along the lines of
Aborted (which I hope I'll be drinking to tonight), Decapitated, Obituary (its been a 5 year tradition), Exhumed (fucking rule) and Cephalic Carnage (drinking to that tonight too)

I thought it said 'Tuesday,' not 'a Tuesday,' sorry. You should still claim it's Thanksgiving, and that you'll be damned if the trample over your rights as an American.

A relatively large amount of vodka. At the time I was hammered; now I'd probably drink the same as a pregame before heading out. I'm not sure which state's preferable. Now I mostly drink beer, though.

I don't often drink with metalheads or alone, so the music is rarely my choice. I've found Opeth is good background music for drinking. Crowbar if you're in a bad mood, or just think it's funny that a Crowbar chorus is actually 'I need the alcohol I need.'

Nice website, I'de get Alfa Edelpils, Grolsch, Hertog Jan (!!!if they have them, get the primator!!!)
for heavy stuff, get the La Trappe Quadrupel, its 10% and has a nice taste too.
theres a bunch missing there but they have some pretty good ones.
if you want belgian beers.... try la chouffe, westmalle, palm, duvel, leffe blond (on a hot sunny day only) Straffe Hendrik and ofcourse Jupiler.
Nice ones. If you come over for WC2006 John, we'll be sure to try most of them!!!

Hahaha! Sure thing!
Thanks for the list, Def. I'll be sure to try all of them eventually, but for now I think I'll order some Hertog Jan and Alfa Adelpils with maybe a bottle or two of La Trappe Quadruple for good measure.
Cheers!

damn, thats some good shit!
remember the lowenbrau glass I posted in the old thread? It's not bad beer, the oktoberfest edition is actually pretty good.
I bet you'll like Duvel and La Trappe, the Westmalle is really heavy and not everybody likes it, but its a good beer to enjoy (not too drink fast, mind you)
thank god for that website man! As for Hertog Jan, ask PST about that, it's good stuff and it's the preferrable beer in my region. (as in, everybody drinks amstel and heineken at home because its dirt-cheap, but in pubs everybody drinks HJ)

don't forget, only drink the leffe blond and that hoegaarden blond on a sunny day! (I'm serious, thats the perfect moment to enjoy them)
downside is, that you'de have to have a lot of patience for that, with you living in the UK and all

Haha, yeah! I'll have to put those beers into hybernation for six months before I can really enjoy them. I would have got some Hertog Jan but it was sold out!
Tattered: Sort of a beer tasting marathon, but I've only ordered one of each for now. They're getting delivered to work (nobody at home during the day and I'm not trusting my neighbours with my beer!) and I'd have to lug them all back on the bus so it's best to limit myself to 12 until I learn to drive/earn enough money to get a taxi.

I wasn't sure which one to pick but that one lept out at me, mainly because I was thinking of Crown Royal for some reason or another. The other Aussie stuff they had was Boegs, Castlemaine Gold, Coopers Pale Ale, Hahn Premium, Little Creatures, Melbourne Bitter, Redback Beer, Toohey's and Victoria Bitter. Any suggestions for future ordering?
