I'll concede that their cover of Legion is much better.

Agalloch does a cover of "Kneel to the Cross" that fucking kills the original version by Sol Invictus.
Death - Painkiller (Judas Priest)
CoF - Hallowed be thy Name (Iron Maiden)
Cannibal Corpse - No Remorse (Metallica)
Slayer - In a Gadda Da Vida (Iron Butterfly)
Malevolent Creation - Piece By Piece (Slayer)
Metallica - Helpless (Diamond Head)
Metallica - The Prince (Diamond Head)
Metallica - Tuesday's Gone (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
Metallica - The Mercyful fate medley (BRILLIANT)
Dark Funeral - Equimanthorn and Call From the Grave (Bathory)
Do I even need to SAY "All along the watchtowers?"

Metallica's 'Tuesday's Gone'? You're nuts. Not a Skynyrd fan, I take it. That's the most fucking ridiculous thing I've ever read. The rest of the picks are fine, but, Jesus H. Christ, are you nuts? Have you heard the original? Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck.
Since no one else will say it:
Stevie Ray Vaughn - Little Wing
And if someone else did say it, fuck you.

I never said it was better than the original. The original blows anything metallica has ever DONE out of the water.

Wasn't this a live cover? Maybe I'm wrong, I don't own any Disavowed CD's. I like it, but they play a couple of the riffs wrong, which always seems to irritate me on covers.

If someone was going to say it, it was you. I knew it as I posted. Bastard.
And I didn't say anything about the Tuesday's Gone cover being better than the original. I'm saying that the only excuse you could possibly have for saying it's a good cover is complete and utter ignorance of the original. And almost complete deafness. And syphilis-induced madness. And other things as well. Metallica butchered a classic and decided to throw it on with good covers of other classics. Bastards.
Also, Maiden did a good Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Corrosion of Conformity did a good Lord of this World, and I've apparently lost Masters of Reality. Motherfuck.

Yes, either that or you could be completely wrong. Cunt.

Especially on a Suffocation song. The worst thing you could possibly do is get the riffs wrong.

I'll have to go with Gorgoroth - Slottet I det Fjerne (although the original Darkthrone version is at least as cool as this cover)

Not really, it just seems to annoy me a little bit for whatever reason. Personally, when I play other bands' material, I usually take creative liberties, unless I am playing along with the original. If you were being sarcastic, however, point taken.

Kreator - Grinder (Judas Priest)
Sepultura - Piranha
Six Feet Under - Piranha (Exodus)
Malevolent Creation - Piece by Piece (Slayer)
Seaweed - Go Your Own Way (Fleetwood Mac)
did anyone else like these covers?

It was an OK cover. It was shitty because of the quality of the recording. If it were done in a studio, it probably would've been much better.

My new grind band A Beautiful Corpse just cut a 5 song demo. We do covers Drags The Waters by Pantera and Pet Cemetery by The Ramones.
