I hate you shredisnotdead, everyone on the forums is better than me but I'm still better than everyone at my school so theres no one to practice my ass off just for the sole purpose of being better than they are.

And that little kid reminded me of my last drummer when he played guitar, he did the same thing but only used the neck pickup and just thrashed his entire forearm. According to him all solos are supposed to be with the neck pickup because he said "where else is the bass going to come from." He also didn't understand that when you flicked that switch the pickups you were using changed or that you can change pickups. I tried to explain that I put emgs on my guitar but he said "I dont like jacksons because they come with emgs" Then he wanted to play slipknot and quit after saying that he was a better player than me.

I do prefer the Neck pickups for leads, it has a nice kinda sound.

Same here, especially for sweeps and the like. I think Jon from Cryptopsy predominantly uses the neck pick up and his style is awesome.

I was playing a slowish solo with quite a few pinches and stuff and he didnt understand that pinches suck on the neck pickup, because he didnt know that when you flipped the switch it used the neck pickup. He kept trying to get my friend to do it and my friend's guitar doesnt even have a neck pickup (he could only afford to get 1 emg so having that and a powersound both hooked up would be really damn stupid)

But yea sweeps do sound better on the neck, as does insano romeo and tolkki shredding (and i cant do any of it )
