they did do it for opeth, we ended up getting one gig there, but you're right man, there's no point hoping for it. for fuck's sake, slipknot haven't even announced any underage gigs for their tour in february (they should sack their booking agent), neither did machine head when they came here last year.
i can understand some touring bands not playing underage shows but for fuck's sake, deeds of flesh did. oh well, we still won't get any. meh, boo-hoo.

Well, Australia is small and iffy, especially Brisbane and Perth. Since march there hasn't been any international bands doing U18 shows because of insurance problems. The booking agents book them into the cheapest venues, and those are all 18+ because insurance for U18 gigs is very expensive. The only way for U18 to go to a gig is to go to see local bands, and lately they've been mostly doing 18+ gigs, so support your local scene (until you turn 18) .
Don't complain about M4TB. Brisbane is getting it for the first time in ages, and it's 18+ with a lot less bands playing. I wanna go to Candberra so badly.
