On a completely unrelated topic, if i have helped two people get together, then this thread is worth keeping open, just filter through all the SPAM.
And im probably about thirty minutes away from Beasofcarrion, if he is half way between me and Maryborough. But all i need is a bassist. There are two bassists near me that i know of, and on is into funk rock Chillis shit, and the other is into Mettalica, but doesnt want to hear other kinds of metal

What about online band.
Get the members together via MSN/Yahoo conference. Plan shit, all in theory... Record your bits on PC, upload them to a website... Where the others can download and listen.
Each member can follow that process and hey presto thats a song, easily performed imo

Yeah well, you know me.... not.... very.... well actually you dont.
But anyway I dont think that was stated well in your post thats all. i was under the impression it was like a dating service for musicians to hook up and get together with ppl in their area. and with the feedback you got from that i wasnt the only one...
so anyway thats my idea... and probably Stoner's aswell...

Too bad most of the people on this site are from the western continents...
I'm from either Denton TX, or Houston TX(USA). I can play bass guitar, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, and vox. My voice is close to Tony Martin from late Black Sabath but not as good. I can sing good enough, I can sing some Helloween and Demons and Wizards/Iced Earth to give an idea of how high I can. I can be in any type of band: rock, metal, death, black, jazz, hell I'll fucking do Nu-metal(  ).

yeah it's horrible indeed, cause you have local sites, where you can find the musicians you need, that way it is much faster, then post it here...where it is 1 in a million to find the guy/girl who lives close to you.
You can always post a topic, with links to your music online, so people can listen to your stuff.
