Me ,too. Not a whole lot of salt cuz it chaps my lips. 
Soulinsane, a friend of mine told me once that sometimes you can give so much of yourself without getting anything in return that you turn into a shell of yourself basically. Those closest to you are sometimes the one's that understand the least. Over the past few years I finally learned something to keep me from feeling the way you do in some ways. I give what I choose without expecting a darn thing back. It makes me feel good and I'm not disappointed that my intentions aren't appreciated.
I does suck when it's family though. But if you and your missus have a good relationship then what goes on with them I wouldn't worry about. I know it's tough, but that's what you have to remember. I'm pretty private in my life as far as my mom goes, but I love her more than ever. She and I just don't always see eye to eye on things.
