I haven't heard their new album, but for the most part, I heard a few songs and they're definitely NOT MY FAVORITE. In fact, in my opinion, they just flat out suck.

i watched the latest video clip out of curiosity before, and my god, it was worse than the other punk and hip hop clips they played around it, it had a bunch of men screaming for them, giving me the impression of them being they gay version of the beetles, and the song sounded so basic with excess drums (probably to give the 2 extra drummers something to do), it had NO samples and NO scratching, making those 2 people completely irelavent
whats more they appear to have sold out the "we are the most aggrsive and sick band in the world" thing as well becuase the song was softer than Nevermore

as has been said, slipknot brings more posers to corrupt the death/black/prog/thrash/blah blah metal scenes. 9 members when 0 are needed. samples and DJ scratching.
well we all know the drill, slipknot has all the right ingredients (and method) to become the most spectacularly huge failure in metal music history. and that they have.
the new album will make a fantastic beer coaster.

I don't care if everyone else hates me, but the First album did kick ass. I really liked the the whole thing.
2nd album... I was disappointed badly. I got it thinking it would rock, but no! I could tell something was wrong, different, and would never be the same.
Stone Sour... I was sick for days that the same people from Slipknot could sell out and make something so pathetic. What made it worse for me is the dudes from Stone Sour thought that they could just put their mask back on, go back to Slipknot, do some shows and people wouldn't know or even care that everything had changed.
3rd album... not worth my time. If I hear it on the radio, fine, but I may not even know its them. I don't know what was different during the first album for them, but they lost it. Their run is over and nothing will change that for them now. Fuck you Slipknot, you fucked up one of my favorate bands!
