This thread had been surprisingly devoid of idiocy until that comment. I agree with your respect for the majority of American soldiers and you are also right in saying they have respect for themselves. Unfortunately, a lot of the American (and British) troops don't have respect for the Iraqi people which is not to be lauded considering that we are supposed to be there to help them.

We were told that WMD in Iraq posed an immediate threat to Western countries and that we must enter Iraq as a means to maintaining National Security. Iraq had no WMD, if they did have we would have found them by now. Hans Blix, the UN's chief weapons inspector, also believes that Iraq has no WMD.

Our men aren't dying for National Security, they're dying for construction contracts, oil and to sate George Bush's misguided pursuit of revenge for 9/11. So if you want to know why our guys are dying in Iraq then look no further than the British and American governments. Now say that the "USA RULZ".

I understand that you want to support our troops in Iraq but even Bush wouldn't consider such an extreme and ill-informed line of action.
