he is also the world record holder and he doesn't actually use a double double pedal, he uses and axis longboard with an attachment (called a VRUK) which makes heel-toeing a hell of a lot easier.....

Oh I'm sorry my mistake ... but it looks like four times, and yes, he is "holding" the world record, IMO, Jan Axel Blomberg is the fastest drummer of all time and with the best technique, and his double bass sure faster than Tim Waterson.

I believe (I am by no means an expect) but it enables you to heel toe with your foot relativley flat it doe this by elevating where your heel can sit, I also think it takes a larger movement to move the small distant required for heel toe, making it smoother and softer.

but I am no expert on this, go check there website (tim waterson plugs it on his site)
