thats such a funny idea, filing down the frets, you would probably take a chunk out of the fretboard if you slipped

why? maybe his neck is nice a broken in, or has a good grain pattern to it. Plus he can do this for very little money. It really isent hard to do.

I defretted my Fender Deluxe Active Jazz bass and it fuckin' cries when I play it now, soooo nice. If you decide to do it, TAKE YOUR TIME...and read up a lot before hand.
