The past few month just been jamming along to Guitarpro tabs
The easy stuff:
Metallica - hit the lights, awesome solo jam at the end
- Helpless from garage days
Ozzy -Bark at the moon, show off to all those "guitar hero" gamers
-Mr crowley, can't go wrong w/ rhoades
Old Slayer (pre 90's)
Gotta Pay attention to what I'm doing stuff:
Satriani - Surfin, crushing days, and satch boogies are favs
Vai, Attitude song and a couple others off Passion & Warfare
Malmsteen - Far beyond the Sun, never gets old, could play in loops for hours
Still strugglin a bit:
Jason Becker, Jason, Becker, and Jason Becker
Altitudes - Almost there....so close....
Speed Metal Symphony
Most of the harder stuff isn't really metal, but I used to jam to Death, carcass , Cynic and Deicide back in the 90's which was hard as hell to play back then

I like to play:
Angel of Death, Agressive Perfector, Raining Blood, South of Heaven, Mandatory Suicide, Postmortem - Slayer
Master of Puppets, Wherever I May Roam, Whiplash, One, The God That Failed, Orion - Metallica
I am the Black Wizards, Inno a Satana, With Strength I Burn, Al Svartr - Emperor
False Dawn - Drudkh
Väkisinkastettu - Enochian Crescent
Buried by Time and Dust, De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, Freezing Moon - Mayhem
Hymn III, Hymn IV, Hymn VII - Ulver
Stahl Blitz Kalt - Absurd
Fall of Man, Du Nordavind, Raudt og Svart - Arcturus
Last Day in Heaven, Legions of Perkele - Barathrum
23 - Behemoth
Salmon's Gate - Beherit
Jesus' Tod, Dunkelheit - Burzum
Funeral Mist - Funeral Mist
Sick of You - Gwar
Fuel for Hatred, Mother North, Forhekset, K.I.N.G. - Satyricon
God of Impiety - Old Man's Child
Killing Me, Killing You - Sentenced
Not metal, but still awesome:
Late Goodbye, Lift, Carnival of Rust - Poets of the Fall
Usher, Harvest - October Falls
These are the songs I play everytime I take my guitar and start playing. In fact, though, I most likely just play a riff or two from each song, otherwise I wouldn't have time to play these all and sleep and eat etc.

Still, just a riff from each of those must take about three hours.

humm...i'm more into classical music MIXED with metal. so i get my fix from covering mozart's 'marriage of figaro'. beethovens 5th, bunch of toehr random tunes.
favorite classical cover is:
in the hall of the moutain king- by Edvard Grieg
but a metal/classical song that i love is:
Awakening the centuries- by Haggard. easy metal stuff, as its just power chords, but the fucking piano solo done on guitar is sort of tough. well, it would be a whole lot easier if you had a 24 fret guitar. saves you from bending everything!

Necrophagia play that at the start of one of their songs.
Fuck. No they don't. It's 'A Night on Bald Mountain' I was thinking of.

in the hall of the mountain king has been covered by TONS of artists. most dont even give credit to edvard Grieg, as they just play the intro, and leave it at that...
i can only think of 2 bands that covered the song and gave credit to Grieg:
Apocalyptica
Savatage(they made in the hall of the mountain king part 1 and 2)

I'm sure Grieg isn't too upset about it.

I'm suprised I haven't heard it so far... Though I did skip a few pages, I might be wrong, but...
Dissection - Anything from "The Somberlain", and "Storm Of Lights Bane".
Emperor - Anything from "In The Nightside Eclipse", "Anthems Of The Welkin At Dusk, Prometheus".
Kalmah - Any of their stuff, everyone of their albums is amazing in my opinion.
Wintersun - Beautiful Death, Sleeping Stars, Beyond The Dark Sun.
Vader - This Is The War
There are others... But it's late and that's all I feel like typing.

I love playin classical music fused into metal, aslo. I was lucky to find some really good power tabs for Mozarts Figaro overture, Rondo Alla Turco, 40th Symphony, and The Magic Flute overture, and also Vivaldi's 3rd movement in summer. In fact, me, my dad and my brother can shred the Magic Flute together, its fun as hell and it sounds awesome! Also, me and the old man have been workin on that Vivaldi 3rd movement in Summer (the one Bodom demonstrated)for like 2 years, and its finally getting close. Its great having a family of guitar players
