In the latest Guitar World mag, Steve Vai has a special section in there with tons of great stuff. Everything from sweeps to alternate/tremolo picking, and vice versa. I think it's called "30 hour workout". I would advise checking this out.

i don't know if anybody's said this yet but another important thing to remember when trying to gain speed is friction... you want the least amount of friction with the pick and the string... so the only thing that should be striking the string is the very very tip of the pick and not the whole side or half way up the pick. if you work on that you'll build speed as well as control.
being precise and accurate is essential to playing clean and fast.
theres also something called circular picking where the only thing that moves is your index and thumb with the pick. no wrist or hand movement. its kinda hard to explain but if you get your finger speed up with that you'll become a alternating picking master.

Where can i find circular picking example.
My left hand is the fastest of the West, but my right hand is slow.heheheh
I usually play with hammer ons(pick one and play 3 notes) but i want to perform my right hand technique. Any suggestion?

P.D: sorry my "crap"(?) english.
