ha, speaking of slipknot... they were in my local guitar center yesterday.. they were in town because they were going to play a show here tonight with dillenger escape plan, shadows fall and lamb of god. but corey has some fungus growing in his throat or something so they had to cancel a couple tour dates.

on the positive side, my buddy sold mick a $3,000 les paul. yay for commission.

i might also add the mick is a fucking gaint. like 8 feet tall 300 pounds

that's an opinion... personally i'd be just as satisfied with a marshall mg head as i would be with a krank revolution... same sound quality...

but at least the marshall is made by decent people and has a return policy..

umm what amp is your band endorsing? exactly, shut up then.

i'm not in a serious band right now. so i can't really be endorsed... but i play a hughes and kettner triamp, and that shits all over any krank head.

besides, all the serious guitarist with krank endorsements don't really play them.

I just saw Soilwork/Dark Tanquility/Hypocrisy/Mnemic last night and I remember looking at their amps (I'm always curious to see what other's use) and I remember thinking, what the fuck is Krank. Then I come here this morning and I see this thread. I don't know shit about the amps (other than you people hate them ) but I thought I'd throw in that those bands all seem to use them (at least live). Sounded good but then again i'm sure they had plenty of effects and crap running through to make it sound right.

i'd bet money those chasis's were empty...

the point of endoresments, it's advertising. put a pair of dummy krank cabs and an empty revolution chasis on top of them... the right behind it, have a mic'd up marshall 1936 and a hotrodded jcm 800...

nobody sees the marshall, they think man, his shit sounds tight, i need a krank now.

like evh and the 5150's... except 5150's don't suck.

I saw Gwar recently and was horrified to realize they had Kranks on stage. I hope to god that they weren't actually really using them.

I saw GWAR July 8th and I saw a Marshall JMP and a Marshall Poweramp.

Hidden behind stage props of course.

i saw gwar earlier this year with dying fetus... they were all out sporting crate blue voodoos.
but it's not like gwar has good tone or anything. i really went to fight during dying fetus, and watch gwar's crazyness on stage. cuz nobody "listens" to gwar
they're like the aquabats in hell.

They used Crate Blue Voodoo cabinets.. never seen them with the ehads though.

And listen to Violence Has Arrived, and War Party.. GWAR is actually good now. The tone on War Party is pretty decent too.
