If you like some metalcore you should check out bloodsimple:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiB9zcx07ZE
"Dead Man Walking"
very catchy song
I'm so fucking into LoG right now. And I'm waiting impatiently for All That Remains' new album 'Overcome'. I am also a fan of Protest the Hero, mainly because I think their lead singer is a fucking awesome vocalist. A lot of people on this forum are death metal fans and can't seem to appreciate any form of clean singing at all.
I can't believe I haven't read any bashing of Disturbed (I would be inclined to join in)

I can believe that Disturbed haven't been bashed in this thread, for the simple fact they aren't metalcore.

#1 - Protest the Hero are boring, not because of clean singing, but because they are just plain boring. To counter your next argument, its not because I 'dont like clean singing.'
#2 - Disturbed was, in fact, part of the whole 'nu metal' thing that happened around 2000... Giving them the benefit of the doubt because they really aren't THAT bad, they are hard rock.
metalcore = Martyr AD, Shai Hulud, 7 Angels 7 Plagues, Poison the Well, etc...

Yeah, i'll agree with you on that, they aren't THAT bad for hard radio rock. They at least had some uniqueness when they first hit the scene.

Yeah. They've gotten to a point of being so generic and the literal definition of "radio metal," but it could be much... MUCH worse.

Kind of, I listen to a lot of bands which in my ears can't distinct the genres of deathcore and metalcore. Bands I like which pertain to this confusion: August Burns Red, Catherine, I Killed the Prom Queen, Destroy the Runner and Haste the Day.

Shai Hulud with Geert was awesome!
I've been listening to Fear My Thoughts, Aclys, Deadlock and Dominator lately, I don't think they have ever made a name across the pond?

Damn haha. Guess I do enjoy metalcore, but all of those bands have melodic guitar playing. Especially Haste the Day, August Burns Red and Catherine.
Anyone heard the new Swedish melodeath/metalcore scene?
