just saw origin last night in boston... holy shit, what an amazing show! their set was razor-sharp, even having just one guitarist. too bad they got cut kinda short because the show ran to like 1:30am. internal suffering was incredible, too.. those fuckers brought like half of the metalheads in columbia with them or some shit. both of the local bands were good shit: sexcrement & downfall. overall, loved it.

no shit, that bassist was unreal. the drummer made it look like that shit was just a walk in the park. origin is just all around amazing. they have had so many changes in the band, i was expecting two guitarists. i think even their website is behind on the current line-up heh
how about that guitarist for internal suffering?? fucking sick dude.. and he was not even on the album, so i guess he had to learn all that shit pretty quick.

yeah guess so.. it's funny, the origin bassist kinda looked a bit like kirk hammet, and strangely the BOE bassist looked like glen benton, though wound a bit less tight haha

I hung out with John in his apartment before the show... it's amazing how much he knows about 80's metal. But yeah that bassist blew my mind, his vocals were fuckin VICIOUS.

That's what I'm doing tonight. My girlfriend wanted to go cause when she asked me about them I said I think they sound like Cryptopsy and both of us really like Cryptopsy. However, neither of us have heard anything by them. (on the to-listen-to list, most metalheads have quite an extensive one) We are going to their show tonight though, so what do they sound like? I think they are technical death metal, any comparisons?.........that can be made in the next 4 hours?
