slipknot just plain sucks...
the idea of the masks and shit was stolen from mushroomhead which was formed way before slipknot
the lyrics are mostly shit and the act is boring me to death.
I don't like to see that clip every day on the local tv music station haha, that's the reason why I don't listen to radio and I hardly watch tmf.
just not my thing I guess...

Not that i fancy slipknot or anything, but i hafta say that the drummer is quite a talent, he was a jazz drummer before he join the band......what a pity

They're allright actually. People hate them mainly because it's cool to hate them. They're more metal than Machinehead and Metallica nowadays.

actually I do think disciple dude has got a point there, the latest machine head was pretty fucked up with really sell-able lyrics, for me they've sold out a while ago..
I' m not into metallica but when I see 2 out of 10 so called metaldudes walk with a metallica shirt I don't think I really want to know.
I heard a few cd's and I like Kill Em all and rid the lightning the best. the later stuff isn' t nice at all if you ask me.

Don't mind them really, apart from when they rap. I only listen to a couple of songs at the end of the first album (I think one's called Get This and the other's a hidden track, I never put track names on my mds) which are pretty much based on Morbid Angel riffs and have proper blastbeats, no less. Rest of the album kinda stretches a formula a bit too thin; what is it, like 70 minutes+? Far too long.
Sure, so they're flavour of the month, but aren't they preferable to linkin park and <snigger> papa roach?
