I use 2.0 guage Dunlop picks. For grip I cross-hatch them with a razor, works like magic

I use Dunlop Nylon white .46mm picks. I used to use Tortext Green .88 and After I switched I found that I can speedpick much faster and cleaner, and I havent broken a string since, and everything stays tuned much longer

I'm currently using Fender Hard picks on my Ibanez Rg120 and for the Ibanez EX, since I'm tuned usually between A and C, I'll use Fender Mediums or thin..
I've tried Ernie Ball picks in the past, didn't care for them too much. Dunlops ain't too bad either.

I use Jim Dunlop 1mm Nylon picks. They are great overall . They grip well, I get good squealing pinch harmonics and are excellent for tremolo and alternate picking.
But I use them mainly because they are the most durable. I used to use 3mm Stubbies but I ended up wearing them down within two weeks. I used a fender pick once. I enphasize once because it only lasted one song.

Yeah I jammed through one song on a hard Fender pick and it was fucked. You can even smell the pick burning then *snap*

Those fender picks do waer down fast. After i used one i had little sawdust like shit all over my pickups; that shit was the remains of the pick.

Use to use Jim Dunlop .73 Nylon, using .60 now. Not too hard so that it catches on the strings (but hard enough for adequate power), and not too floppy like it was made from an ice cream tub. Great for pinch harmonics, speed picking, etc as the pick bends/slides off the strings easily. Even when worn, still easy to use. Fender picks suck - snapped two of them first go; brittle.
