Thumbs up Bass guitar David Vincent used on the Terrorizer album?

I was listening to Terrorizer's "World Downfall" album the other day and I thought the sound of David Vincent's bass was one of the best I've heard to date... bassy and warm yet bright and clear at the same time, with some distortion.

I was wondering what kind of body wood would be ideal for that kind of sound? Alder, ash...?
Would anyone know what bass guitar he used and what he uses these days?

Thanks beforehand \m/

Needless to say, David Vincent is the former Morbid Angel bassist/vocalist, now back in the band, I believe.
