Exclamation whats a good bass for a beginner

hay im looking at buying a bass and all my mates told all the guitar brands i shouldnt buy but they did not think to say what is a good brand so thought
i would use this subject as my first thread and ask you guys with more experience what is a good bass guitar to start of on

personally im a big fan of fenders basses, theyve got a great sound and theyre moderately priced. if youre willing to spend a little more check out some warwicks.

Go to a music store, and try out some basses in your price range, if your buying over the net, i'd recommend to start on a Yamaha or Ibanez you can also get a cheap Warwick Rockbass, and they dont sound too bad.

it depends on the amount your willing to spend 200-400 is the price for a good ibanez(which i like the most) or or a good Warwick 600-900
