Yeah... i know what you mean. my cd that i finished about last year this time is almost entirely of similar topics. Dreams and what not. The songs i've been wokring on lately though are actually probably MORE abstract than the cd previously. Alot of the songs i write about (not lately, but usually) are things about what is reality?
This one song i have called Reasonable Paranoia, is actually about a .. theory i have that everybody on "earth" is merely players in some sort of elaborate.. "game" or "system." That all of us or most, are nothing more than pawns that are put here to make this "reality" seem "oh so real" (somewhat matrix like). Its kind of like truman show meets matrix. I know this isn't the lyric forum haha but it somewhat deals with this issue.
I also wrote lyrics about premonitions while i was at OCS. I may have mentioned it earlier in this thread, but oh well. Like i said it is about premonitions and how we are visions of some entity thats distant into the future. Actually if i'm not mistaken the lyrics are on the forum a lil ways back. A few didn't like it.. but eh.. i liekd it.
And blood red bass. Hey... thats what us MELO metal heads do... We incorporate abstract ideas into our music everyday.... Its called real music.

Two things to mention for this thread:
1. While shrooming the other day I had a scarily intense feeling of deja vu.
2. Just now I went down to the library coffee shop with the ending refrain from 'Happiness is a Warm Gun' stuck in my head, as it had been for the half hour or so before. When I get there, what should be playing but that very same song at the very same place?
This hasn't really done anything for me, but I'm sure somebody else can have a field day with it. Actually, there are a lot of much freakier associations with the White Album out there, so much that I can't even begin to car about my own coincidence. But it was cool, and got the song out of my head.
Oh, and BB (very late response, this): Your friend almost certainly just put another bar there while fucked up and forgot about it. People have a tendency to repeat certain modes of behavior without thinking about it, and hence without remembering it. It's no more mysterious than when you stop short, absolutely certain that some horrifically necessary thing was left behind or lost, only to eventually find it in the most obvious space possible: your pocket, where you'd automatically placed it. You sleepwalk through too much of life for anything you do automatically to be much of a surprise, if you know enough to know you sleepwalk.

No dude, I don't even think I was very high when I ate it. And my friend definitely just had the one chocolate bar, I saw it with him eariler that day and I saw him put the one bar under the couch. IT WILL NEVER BE SOLVED.

What happened didn't happen over the space of a day, and how high you were didn't matter. If you're going to tell me that it's impossible that, over the couse of the next SEVERAL days, your friend bought another chocolate bar of the same type and hid it in the same place, I'm going to drive to Canada specifically to laugh at you.

You act like you're the first person to throw frozen water balloons at me. I'm from Upstate NY. C'mon.
Speaking of 'C'mon': how can you believe that an act of God occurred when you know for a fact that you're in Canada, the land without God? You might as well tell me that Leprachauns fuck with your head when you're meditating with Indian gurus.

Well, I wish that one of you would tell me which one of my old encyclopedias I stuck $100 bill in about 20 years ago. I haven't looked through them in years because they're in the attic, but when someone does find it if they do they'll have a nice surprise. The books are so old that some of the planets hadn't even been discovered yet. They were my mom's from the '40's sometime. Funk and Wagnells.
The only other option I can thing of it that maybe my old b/f took it and never told me. I'm not real worried about it, but it's a curiosity to me.
That's a cool song, PST. At least you haven't had "I Wanna Be Like You" from the first Jungle Book earwormed in your head for 6 months like I have.

ha!
Once I saw a charred cross on the side of my old junior high school. The first time I was on mushrooms, a few minutes after the activation joint.
Yes, Chris is right, It was most likely an act of Satan. Or well, it's could be Allah...seeing how Canada is HARBORING TERRORISTS.
