BTW my friend got a Joe satriani peavey the other day, im gona try to convince him to send it back, get one of these.... the JSX head sucks imo.

I still havent had a chance to play the JSX, but if your friend likes it then he should keep it.. reguardless of what you or anyone else thinks.

the whole time i was playing it i checked lke 5 times, to see "this is a tube amp right?" im serious. noe mabe its not THAT bad, but i played around with it for about an hour.

there was a XXX right next to it, god THATS a nice amp.

the jsx is pretty much a hot rodded xxx... it's just been voiced a little different. and they added a noise gate to the lead channel.

i think they're fine.

the JSX is the best peavey tube top I played so far, basta. its more versatile then the 5150 and the distortion sounds much better (so does the XXX's distortion, but thats personal preference too)

the cleans are the biggest improvement on the jsx compared to the xxx and ofcourse to the 5150(I/II)

maybe EVH got pissed off because the JSX kicked his signature amp's ass, haha.

last night i was at my freinds house, he held i big party had a couple bands over (including his) and i must say he made the JSX sound great.

Nice idea, but I too would like to see a price drop. I have a feeling Peavey may not make it as desirable as the 5150, but Peavey has NEVER let me down.
