Guitar Wiring problems...

Hey guys, long time no see. I'm happy to be back, but let's concentrate on my problems. I have searched and come up with nothing so the only thing left is to make a new thread.

Problem 1: I'm putting in some new pickup into my old yamaha (shitty old erg121). I'm just doing it with one pickup, one volume pot with the ability to spilt the humbucker. My problem is that I can't get the guitar to stop making noise when I let go of the strings. I've wired it correctly and I've put all the grounds togheter and wired the to the ground wire from the tremelo. The thing is that when I wire the cables to the ground wire, I still have to touch the strings (or the output jack or pot) in order to make the noise stop. Anybody know what might be wrong?

Problem 2: My Schecter C-7 Blackjack has fucked up. The switch has fallen apart so I replaced it with a circuit card switch. And I just can't get it to work. I've tried the official wiring diagram, I've tried my own configurations, and nothing will work. And yes, I do know that the wiring for a circuit card is a bit unusual, but I still can't get it to work.

Any hints on any of these problems are welcome. Sorry if I'm pissin anybody off because of some unknown reason, but you're my last hope.

It's quite normal to get hum when your not touching the strings, but it still sounds like a grounding issue to me. Doublecheck it.
Is it just the new pickup doing it, or does every pickup have it?
If you want to be sure, replace all pots and switches.

It's an obvious question, but have you replaced your switch actualy?
I wouldn't be suprised if you fucked it up during replacement. Happends to everyone.

Got the yamaha fixed, now it at least works...with some hum though...

I hate to be a bitch but does anybody have any experience with circuit card switches? I'm all out of ideas. Seems like the easiest way to do is to buy a new switch...
