mrweijia and wrangle: Measured in Hz, F-tuning is closer to standard than Eb, and if you wan't to be really close to std, why not tune to something like: F-A-D-G-B-e ?
(Yes, I know, I'm just being stupid)
Oh, maybe should tell you that my fav. alt. tuning is Eb, mainly because Iced Earth tune that way, and it's not easy to play Eb stuff on an E guitar....

I tune to B,E,A,D,F#,B on my Bc Rich's, and A,D,G,C,E,A also F,A#,D#,G#,C,F on my Strats.

i like em loose, its alot easier in my opinion to play, the strings are mor flexible and can bend easier.

yeah, but in B??
My guitar is mostly in D this time (playing death and children of bodom) or Eb (iced earth etc..) they are loose, but not that much
C# is too low i think

Drop D tuning is for Nu-Jacks
i like a whole step down, and a half step down i haven't had a chance to experiment with other tunings on my own |

I like D because it's chunky.
I play alot of good sounding riffs/songs in it e.g Lord Abortion, Greed Killing. It makes it easy to play Davidian and Hatebreed Songs beacuse I just drop the top string down so I'm in "Drop C" . The strings are also not as loose and sloppy this way. For thrash, I prefer Eb.
