so I finally got to drumming;

Is it normal my *******¨fingers hurt after 30 mins of playing?

Is it something you need to get used to, or is there a special way to hold those simple sticks ??
(yeah how do those drummers play staccato/blast beat on a snare that fast with 1 stick)
