The whiskey market seems to have really amazing stuff at affordable prices.. The same deal goes for Gins and aged Rums. Brandys/Cognacs have been the least reliable in my experience. I've tried a couple Cognacs at the $35-$50 mark, and they were astounding, but the stuff below that (including american brandy's) have ranged from satisfactory to unusable.


Heh I used to drink the shit out of some Four Roses when I was in Japan. Prior to that, I had never even seen it on sale.
