No one is ever taught in school how to program with it. There are not any languages like Visual Basic for it, so kids can't make some shit let me use all the APIs in the book to lock down you pc kind of deal. Hell I'm majoring in Software Engineering and I've yet to see a course related to MAC programming, I'm sure though Google is full of info on it though. I know video games were a big NO back in the day, but I think that was more of a hardware issue than programming.
