Is anyone here familiar with ink jet printers? I'm having a problem with mine and Shmoogle hasn't really helped a whole lot.

Every time I print something there's a black skid mark running vertically along the page. It's looks a little like a column of fuzzy/blurry exclamation marks. Example:

I've ran pretty much every maintenance and cleaning cycle the printer has and nothing seems to have worked. It's been doing this for about 6 months. What the fuckery is going on and how do I stop it?
