Centralia
The ashes fall like snow
Beneath is an ever burning fire
I hear the sirens
Forcing our sudden evacuation
Why must we leave this Canaan
The place we rest our heads
Leaving everything we had
Walking over the present damage
Taking only our memories
The city is condemned
Yet I hear the sirens
I hear the land crying out
The sky becomes blackened
The ash collects like snow
Beneath is an ever buring fire
We must carry on with heads held high
Leaving those awaiting the ferryman
With currency covering their eyes
This is a rough draft of lyrics for an Opeth-ish song I'm composing and will hope to use in my feature endeavors.
